Will the Jesters get Court?
Court Jesters look to be well on their way to clinching the Peterborough World Rules Jet Wednesday League title.
They made it 11 wins out of 11 matches when taking the honours 11-4 at PSL Aint Going Down.
PSL remained in touch at only 6-4 down after the first two sessions, but the Jesters made no mistake with the final session taking all five frames with Andy Bunton confirming the team win in the 12th frame.
The featured YouTube Live-stream match saw Court At The Bar win 10-5 against Court Kids.
The Kids took the first session 3-2 before At The Bar reeled off seven frames in a row with Michael Harrison securing victory in the 11th. Ryan Anderson and Joe Haywood took two further consolation frames late on for the Kids
In another all-Court clash second-placed Snapbacks won 10-5 against Gimme A Break with Liam Ayres recording a break & dish’ for Snapbacks in the first session and Sean Hackett confirming the win in the 13th frame.
Postie Pats continue to struggle at the foot of the table. They lost their latest match 9-6 at home to Parkway with John Roe clinching victory in the 14th frame.
In the Stanground Carpets & Flooring Thursday League there was a whitewash win for Court Larking About over Court Posties.
Youngster Luke Gilbert made an impressive Peterborough World Rules debut in this one with three very convincing frame wins.
The featured YouTube Live-stream match saw Court By The Cops host Crosskeys Silver and come unstuck 10-5. Tony Brown confirmed the win for Cops in the 11th frame.
PSL Lions were at Quinns Muppets and put up a brave fight before going down 8-7.
It was nip and tuck all the way and went down to a last frame decider where Paul Dewey beat Stephen Edgley.
Top-of-the-table Court Gold won 10-5 at home to Bluebell R Back with Sam BoomeandAdyBonsorboth making a ‘break & dish’.
