Another top finish for Mullins

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - SPORT -

This year’s Peterborough 5k Grand Prix winner Grace Mullins hot-footed her way to another victory at the weekend.

The 22 year-old Nene Valley Harrier was a comfortable winner of the St Neots Riverside 10k on Sunday, clocking a time of 40:23 on the multi- terrain course.

Mullins was nearly four minutes clear of secondplaced finisher Samantha Cullen of Eye Community Runners.

Stamford Strider Mark Popple came home in eighth place in 37:38, and Eye’s James Borrett finished 10th.

HECKINGTON 10

Nene Valley Harrier Ruth Jones enjoyed a good run at the Heckington Show 10 in Lincolnshire on Saturday finishing runner-up.

Jones’ time of 1:09.33 marked another chapter in a return to form for the 36 year-old.

Eric Winstone was delighted to finish as first Over 65, but the Bushfield Jogger was slightly disappointed with his finishing time of 1:20.18 on a day when a keen wind across the exposed course meant times were generally down.
