Cobblers tickets on sale from Monday

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - THE FINAL PRE-SEASON PURCHASE -

Tickets for the early-season League One derby between Northampton Town and Peterborough United at Sixfields on Saturday, August 26 go on sale from next Monday (August 7).

Posh have approximately 1,400 tickets to sell for the all-ticket fixture and for the first time the club will be using their ‘Priority Points System’ to allocate the tickets.

The system was formulated in the close season to ensure a fairer way of selling tickets for games that have a restricted ticket allocation.

The following points system will be used for the Cobblers derby. One ticket per person is applicable in all cases.

Monday, August 7 (from 10am): 240 + pts

Tuesday, August 8 (10am) 235+ pts.

Wednesday, August 9 (9am) 230+pts.

Thursday, August 10 (9am) 100+pts.

Friday, August 11 (9am), 10+pts

Saturday, August 12 (10am) general sale.

Supporters are advised to check their priority points balance in advance before trying to purchase. Fans can do so by logging in at www.theposhtickets. com or by emailing tickets@thep

Tickets are priced at £22 for adults, £18 for over 65s/under 21s, £10 for under 18s with under 7s admitted free of charge. Disabled tickets are sold as per the above categories. Carers go free, but proof of carer requirement may be requested on entry.

Posh fans are urged to get to Saturday’s League One opener against Plymouth at the ABAX Stadium as early as possible as a big crowd is expected.

Reduced admission prices are available if tickets are purchased in advance at www.theposhtick or by signing up to the new Posh 12s membership scheme.

Tickets are also on sale for next Tuesday’s Carabao Cup first round tie against Barnet at the ABAX.

Normal matchday admission prices have been slashed for this game and again they are cheaper if purchased in advance.
