Rhino rampage

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - YOUR VIEWS -

The only good thing about the international break was that I could focus all my attention on the Superleague Grand Final between my boys Leeds Rhinos and Castleford Pussy Cats. Even those with blue and amber tinted glasses would admit that Cas have been the league’s best team this year and by some distance, but when it came to the crunch the Rhinos trampled them underfoot. The Rhinos are my second sporting love, and if my first love – Leeds United –showed half the bottle of the rugby boys we’d be nailed on for a return to the Premiership.

It’s a great sport and I can’t for the life of me understand why it has seemingly no appeal outside a few Northern towns. You southerners don’t know what you’re missing.
