His­tory of N&P Build­ing So­ci­ety

The Nor­wich and District Prov­i­dent Per­ma­nent Ben­e­fit Build­ing and Freehold Land So­ci­ety be­gan in 1852.

In 1860, the Peter­bor­ough Pro­vin­cial Ben­e­fit So­ci­ety was founded by rail­way work­ers at the lo­cal Corn Ex­change. More than 100 years later, in 1986, they later merged to be­come the Nor­wich and Peter­bor­ough Build­ing So­ci­ety.
