Badges ex­changed in the par­lour

Mem­bers of the lo­cal Breathe Easy Sup­port Group vis­ited the Mayor’s Par­lour for tea and cake, as well as a pot­ted his­tory of the Town Hall and its past May­ors.

They joined the Mayor of Peter­bor­ough, Coun­cil­lor John Fox with the Deputy Mayor, Coun­cil­lor Chris Ash and Deputy May­oress Doreen Roberts.

The Mayor talked about his role and ex­pe­ri­ence as the city’s First Cit­i­zen and how com­mu­nity co­he­sion is a top pri­or­ity for him which is why he is us­ing the an­chor sym­bol to pro­mote com­mu­ni­ties work­ing to­gether, and how he has in­tro­duced an an­chor lapel badge which he handed out to all in at­ten­dance.

In ex­change, mem­bers of the city’s Breathe Easy Group, which is part of the Bri­tish Lung Foun­da­tion handed out their lung lapel badges.

Peter­bor­ough’s branch meets on the sec­ond Thurs­day of ev­ery month from 2-4pm at the Thomas Walker Med­i­cal Cen­tre, in Princess Street. Guest speak­ers give talks on a wide va­ri­ety of top­ics that cap­ti­vate and in­form.

There is al­ways a raf­fle and chat­ting, whilst en­joy­ing a cuppa.
