Eskimos have more than 50 words for snow while we in Britain have to make do with two – total and chaos!
Spring was supposed to have sprung but instead the so-called Beast From The East and his partner in crime Storm Emma brought snow, ice and, yes, total chaos.
Even in Peterborough the no-snow capital of England the white stuff lay deep and crisp and even.
Schools shut (of course), lots of people were “working from home’’ and suddenly those driving 4x4s were almost popular.
Even hell froze over – well Whittlesey Washes did (I’m skating on thin ice!).
We didn’t cope as well with the snow as Canadians and Scandanavians do. But you should see them if it’s a bit drizzly.
