I Don’t Run (Lucky Number) Album

This is the second album from the splendid Spanish quartet Hinds. Their debut album – the gleeful and innocent pop rock delight of Leave Me Alone – marked them out as a band to watch. The followup finds them a more mature but none the less thrilling proposition. The band consists of Carlotta Cosials (vocals, guitar), Ana Perrotte (vocals, guitar), Ade Martin (bass, backing vocals) and drummer Amber Grimbergen. The likes of Rookie, Soberland and Finally Floating are fully formed top quality garage pop songs. Even the rough edges that remain are wonderfully compelling. But best of all is latest single New For You which, if there was any justice in the pop world, would be a huge hit.
