Merger paves way to new city offices

A leading firm of accountants is to launch a new office in Peterborough.

Moore Thompson, through its merger with another local firm, S R Howell & Co, the practice, which has offices in Spalding, Wisbech and Market Deeping, will be opening a new site in Forder Way, Hampton, Peterborough.

It means brings eight embers of staff previously employed by S R Howell & Co, who have a close affiliation with businesses in Peterborough. S R Howell & Co’s current Partner in Peterborough, Johnathan Capper, will also remain as a consultant for some time. And Mark East, a partner with Moore Thompson in Market Deeping, will become resident partner in Peterborough. He said: “This is an exciting development and we feel that our current links to Peterborough can only be strengthened through this merger. “We are all looking forward to supporting existing clients and to expand our influence with the business community.”
