New designs for Foundation

Homewares designer Sophie Allport has partnered with the Ruth Strauss Foundation to create an official range to raise money to support the charity.

The new collection will include a fine bone china mug, tea towel and square scarf accessory which combines the Foundation’s hearts logo with the Sophie Allport heart collection. Ruth Strauss, wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, lost her life to a form of non-smoking related lung cancer in 2018.

The Foundation was launched to provide professional emotional support for families facing the death of a parent from cancer - and drives the need for more research into non-smoking lung cancers. Sophie said: “We are so pleased to be able to work with the Ruth Strauss Foundation and support the incredible work they do.

“The new range will help raise crucial awareness and funds for the Foundation.”

Karina Murtagh, the Foundation’s chief executive, said: “We’re delighted with the support of Sophie Allport through the special RSF heart collection.

“It is a very welcome addition.”
