Pre-season in Portugal is cancelled

Posh have been forced to abandon plans for a preseason training camp on the continent.

Posh had booked a resort in Portugal in late August, but will not now travel due to concerns caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We did have a camp in Portugal booked,” Posh director of football Barry Fry stated.

“But we’ve cancelled it now because of the uncertainty regarding travel restrictions.

“We might still go away, but probably stay in the UK. We might go up to Scotland.

“Once we get told for sure when League One is starting we can make definite plans.”
