Firm’s finance chief named

Global offshore engineering firm Aquaterra Energy said yesterday it had appointed Nick Hawkes as financial director.

Aquaterra, with operations in Aberdeen, Norwich and Cairo, said its new finance chief brought more than four years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.

Mr Hawkes spent nearly 20 years with Babcock International Group, where he most recently held the position of financial director for 15 years.

His appointment follows the announcement in July that Aquaterra Energy had secured a multimillion-pound boost from EV Private Equity to help meet its 2016 pledge to invest more than £150million in North Sea businesses with new technologies and high growth potential.
