Museum festival will see art, music and Victorian lessons
Aberdeen venues will have a central role to play as Scotland’s Festival of Museums returns next month. The giant cultural event celebrates its 12th anniversary this year and will see 100 events staged nationally.
Aberdonians will be able to take part in celebrations around the city, with five venues participating in the festival, which begins on May 18.
Activities will include performances at the Aberdeen Maritime Museum, art installations and interactive performances at Robert Gordon University and a chance for children to experience life in a Victorian classroom at the Tarves Heritage Centre.
Sarah Burry-Hayes, marketing manager at Museums Galleries Scotland, said: “The programme for the 2018 Festival of Museums is bursting with fun events.
