Female ownership of cars rises 21%
Female car ownership has grown by more than a fifth in the past decade.
Some 11.8million UK cars were owned by women last year, up 21% since 2007. This is compared with an increase of just 10% for men over the same period, reaching 17.8million in 2017.
The analysis also revealed that the proportion of motorists driving automatic cars has doubled since 2007.
