Wishful thinking is not a real policy
sIr, – Your correspondent Christian Allard seeks to enlighten those of us who are not bright enough to understand his party’s fishing policy, which he tells us is “to demand the scrapping or fundamental reform of the Common Fisheries Policy”.
All very commendable but totally unrealistic. We can “demand” till the cows come home, but the “demand” will be ignored. Once we have left Europe, despite the wishes of the sNP, we will be free from the constraints of the CFP. Wishful thinking does not constitute a realistic policy.
