Aberdeen to fall silent

Aberdeen will fall silent to­mor­row for a re­mem­brance ser­vice with added poignancy.

Lord Provost Bar­ney Crock­ett and oth­ers will join serv­ing forces, re­serves and vet­er­ans to com­mem­o­rate the dead. A short cer­e­mony will be held at the War Me­mo­rial on School­hill at 10.50am be­fore the twominute si­lence at 11am.

Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Armed Forces and ex-ser­vice or­gan­i­sa­tions will con­vene in Lit­tle Bel­mont Street from 10am and leave at 10.30am to pa­rade to the War Me­mo­rial.
