Teenage boy, 16, faces 22 charges
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with carrying out a spree of vandalism in the north-east.
The teenager is accused of committing 22 acts of mindless destruction in less than a fortnight in Stonehaven and Inverbervie, principally targeting parked vehicles.
The youth is charged with vandalising 11 cars parked in Stonehaven between Wednesday, April 19, and Sunday, April 24. He is also accused of damaging nine vehicles in Inverbervie between Sunday, April 30, and Monday, May 1.
Constable Kevin Ritchie said: “Incidents of vandalism can cause a great deal of anxiety.”
The teenager will be reported to Youth Justice Management Unit.
