Council launches strategy
Aberdeen council chiefs have announced an awareness-raising campaign aimed at tackling child trafficking.
The activities coincide with Scottish Government’s launch of its Human Trafficking and Exploitation Strategy.
The awareness-raising month will include stalls in the city centre and a social media campaign throughout October, run by Aberdeen City Child Protection Committee (CPC), the Green Light Project and Barnados.
A conference will be held on January 24 next year, hosted jointly by the Aberdeen CPC and its counterparts in Aberdeenshire and Moray.
