Work to start up men’s shed

A group of Aberdeen men are look­ing for a base for their men’s shed project.

Work has be­gun to set up a men’s shed in the area, a club­house of sorts where peo­ple can so­cialise, pur­sue their hob­bies and learn new skills.

Its com­mit­tee, of ap­prox­i­mately 25 mem­bers, is now search­ing for premises.

It has also been awarded char­i­ta­ble sta­tus in order to open up more chan­nels for rais­ing the money needed for the project.
