Konta has a final say in California

British tennis player Johanna Konta advanced to the first WTA final of her career with a 6-4, 6-2 victory against Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova at the Bank of the West Classic in California.

The British number one and third seed will face Venus Williams in the final in Stanford.
