Top acts for Children in Need rock event

Take That, Ellie Goulding and Rick Astley are among the acts who will perform at a special BBC Children in Need Rocks concert to honour Sir Terry Wogan.

The music spectacular will feature songs loved by the veteran broadcaster, who died at the age of 77 on January 31 following a battle with cancer. Other artists who will perform are X Factor star Olly Murs, American jazz singer Gregory Porter, Michael Ball, Alfie Boe, Alexander Armstrong, boy band The Vamps and country music duo Ward Thomas.

The event will be hosted by Fearne Cotton and Greg James.

Cotton said: “It has been an honour working with Sir Terry across the years on Children In Need and it’s a privilege to be hosting Rocks in celebration of his life.”
