AAM send Mark to Ja­pan

Aberdeen As­set Man­age­ment (AAM) is sup­port­ing an­other Scot­tish stu­dent for a spell in Ja­pan.

Napier Univer­sity stu­dent Mark Liv­ing­stone is the lat­est winner in the Aberdeen-based in­vest­ment gi­ant’s an­nual Thomas Blake Glover Aberdeen As­set Schol­ar­ship pro­gramme.

Mr Liv­ing­stone will em­bark on an in­ten­sive lan­guage study course in Tokyo this sum­mer, build­ing on his own self­s­tudy of Ja­panese.

The 19-year-old is study­ing dig­i­tal me­dia and har­bours hopes of work­ing in 3D de­sign and an­i­ma­tion in the en­ter­tain­ment in­dus­try, an area in which Ja­pan is recog­nised as a global leader.

Ini­ti­ated by the Ja­pan So­ci­ety of Scot­land and sup­ported by AAM, the schol­ar­ship gives Scot­tish students the chance to visit Ja­pan to study lan­guage, cul­ture and tra­di­tion dur­ing a six week fully-funded course at the In­ter­na­tional Chris­tian Univer­sity in Tokyo.
