Forrest turns professional
Former Scottish amateur champion Grant Forrest has turned professional and will make his debut in the paid ranks on home soil in next week’s Alfred Dunhill Links championship.
The 23-year-old, a member of Craigielaw Golf Club, has secured an invitation for the European Tour event at Carnoustie, Kingsbarns and St Andrews.
Forrest won the Scottish boys’ championship in 2009 before landing the Scottish amateur at Royal Dornoch in 2012.
He represented Britain and Ireland in the 2015 Walker Cup win at Royal Lytham.
