Patient left feeling deflated

The Press and Journal (Highlands & Islands) - - Opinion -

Disabled father John Taylor met a couple of good samaritans who helped him get to and from a hospital appointment after a tyre burst on his mobility scooter.

His luck ran out, however, when he asked hospital staff at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) for help to blow up the tyre. After all, they deal with these vehicles all the time and have the equipment.

Mr Taylor, who was disabled after breaking his neck, said he was told they could not help because his scooter was not supplied by them. Someone else who was visiting at the time came to his aid to help him get home.

ARI has now apologised, but perhaps they should offer commonsense transplants.
