Im­pli­ca­tions: Tax in­creases and cuts in ser­vices to plug fund­ing gap

Coun­cil tax will rise by 3% for those in band A-D homes, and by be­tween £2.05 and £10.06 per month for peo­ple in band E-H prop­er­ties.

A 10% coun­cil tax dis­count avail­able for se­cond homes has been scrapped.

The scale of street cleaning and grounds main­te­nance will be re­duced.

A to­tal of 55 staff jobs will go, 26 through an early re­lease scheme.

Com­mer­cial waste col­lec­tion prices will rise.

There will be less sup­port for con­ces­sion­ary rail fares.

Har­bour dues will rise along with the price of marine fuel.

The num­ber of coun­cil­lors is be­ing cut from 80 to 74.
