Outrage over vote for Scotland
SIR, – Your correspondents rail in outraged tones at Nicola Sturgeon's calling for an independence referendum just when it will embarrass Theresa May in her Brexit negotiations.
Even if I did not support independence, I would be glad to see any action being taken to impede the monumental folly of Brexit.
Perhaps your correspondents believe that the Westminster government should have free rein to rush the UK into social and economic disaster. I sincerely hope they are prevented from inflicting this on England – and they should not be allowed to do so with Scotland. Derrick McClure, Rosehill Terrace, Aberdeen
