Lamb hurt as huskies break free

A court heard how a motorcyclist spotted two huskies chasing sheep in a field near Fort William.

The biker found the lamb lying on its side bleeding but managed to get the dogs away and phoned a vet.

Thirty-year-old Luke Griffiths of Roxburgh Place, Upper Achintore, Fort William, admitted owning the dogs. One of the huskies has been re-homed. Sentence was deferred to allow Griffiths to pay the vet's bill.
