Call for Highland games to open up to disabled competitiors
An Aberdeen community stalwart has called for physical distancing road changes to be put on hold until it can be determined the works are not a waste of money.
Chairman of George Street Community Council, Andy MacLeod, wants Aberdeen City Council to wait for a traffic assessment on the project after hearing concerns from residents.
The council is this week installing one-way systems there to increase the room for pedestrians, cyclists and shoppers.
Council transport spokeswoman Sandra Macdonald vowed to “review, monitor and tweak” measures to balance the needs of the community.
