Officers net haul worth £3,000
Thousands of pounds worth of drugs have been found by police on Skye.
A quantity of cannabis resin with a potential value of £3,000 has been recovered by local officers.
The drugs were found during a search of a house in Broadford on Thursday, July 27.
And local police are warning they are keeping up their fight to stop people dealing drugs in the area.
As a result of the drugs haul, a 44-year-old local man was detained.
Further inquiries are also being carried out with a view to a report being submitted to the procurator fiscal at a later date.
Constable Cameron MacDonald who led the operation said: “This search was made possible as a direct result of information obtained from the local community and the recovery should serve as a warning to those in the area intent on supplying drugs.”
He added: “We will continue to make Skye and Lochalsh a hostile environment for drug dealers.”
Anyone with information in relation to drug dealers in the area is asked to contact the police on 101 and ask to speak to a local officer.
Information can also be reported anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
