The Press and Journal (Inverness) - - NEWS -

Youngsters with creative ambitions have discovered what it takes to get into art school during a trip to a recently created campus outside Forres.

The Glasgow School of Art moved into Blairs Steading, at the Altyre Estate, earlier this year following a £2.5million refurbishment of the site.

It has now opened its doors to about 50 pupils from S4 to S6 at Buckie, Lossiemouth, Milne’s and Speyside high schools, and their teachers.

Only 30 places are available for a number of the courses run by Glasgow School of Art.

The A-listed steading was built in the 1830s, and now comprises the Mackintosh School of Architecture, facilities for design and innovation and a school of fine art.
