The Press and Journal (Moray) - - NEWS -

Police are appealing for information following a spate of vandal attacks in the north- east’s biggest town.

Peterhead Academy, the Lord Catto Pavilion and the Anna Ritchie School were all targeted. Hundreds of pounds worth of damage was done to the Anna Ritchie school when windows were smashed. The high school and pavilion were both defaced with graffiti. Sergeant George Nixon, of the Buchan community policing team, said: “These mindless acts ofvandalism towards important community facilities areun- acceptable. We are following a number of lines of inquiry, however I would urge members of the public to be vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to us. We will be increasing patrols around local schools and I would encourage people to speak with our officers to highlight anything they may have seen.”
