Goalkeeper is on McIntyre list as Henly heads for exit
Premiership: On trial stopper does not do enough to secure contract
Ross County’s search for a new goalkeeper continues after manager Jim McIntyre confirmed there will be no deal for trialist Jonathan Henly. Former Reading goalkeeperHenly travelledwith the Staggies on their preseason tour of Hungary last week, playing in Saturday’s 2-0 defeat against Szolnoki MAV.
McIntyre is looking for another goalkeeper to provide competition for Scott Fox, who was signed from Partick Thistle earlier in the summer.
Henly, 21, will not be the man, withMcIntyre saying: “We’ve decided not to offer Jonathan a contract, so the search goes on.
“We’ve got a young goalkeeper, Mark Foden, that we’ll use just now but there are options available at the moment and we’ll pursue them.”
As well as a goalkeeper, McIntyre is keen to add a central midfielder and a forward before the end of the transfer window.
