Health of park is a long-term view
SIR, – In answer to your article ‘Caravanners in rate rise revolt’ (October 10), we do not want to see any caravan owners leave Silver Sands, near Lossiemouth.
We first wrote to owners in 2016 to remind them that the three-year fixed fee arrangement would be ending for 2018. During this period our standard site fees increased at a gradual rate each year to their current level. Owners who took part in the fixed fee offer are now returning to the standard rate.
Everyone has access to the same early payment savings. We are building a considerable number of new pitches at the park (27 in 2016 and 37 in 2017) and have invested more than £300,000 in upgrading utilities in the last 12 months alone.
In contrast to reports about previous owners of Silver Sands, we are taking a long term view of the health of the park and will continue with our investment. Andrew Howe, chief executive, Bridge
