‘Snowfactory’ goes on trial
A “Snowfactory” has gone on trial at CairnGorm Mountain.
Staff at the resort are receiving training on the Snowfactory from TechnoAlpin, which designed and installed the technology.
The trial will last for two months and is the first use of the snow maker in Scotland. It is hoped that the Snowfactory will provide guaranteed snow cover. The initial objective is to produce a beginners’ area for teaching.
Janette Jansson, general manager at CairnGorm Mountain, said: “The whole team are really looking forward to having the machine in action for the two-month trial. It’s all looking promising for this winter season.”
