Cancer Support at Christmas
Forres Macmillan Cancer Support will be holding their annual Christmas Fair later this month.
It will take place at the Mosset Tavern on Friday, November 23 at 7.30pm.
There will be sales tables, entertainment, demonstration, raffles and refreshments
Tickets priced £5 are available from committee members.
The next meeting of the Elgin Parkinson’s support group will be on Monday at 7.30pm at their new venue, the Elgin Free Church of Scotland on South Street. There will be two speakers, with Helen Morgan talking about self management and Dave Powney speaking about the benefits of exercise.
Carol service correction
In yesterday’s paper, we reported that The Royal Voluntary Service was holding a carol service on November 28.
We have been asked to clarify it is actually due to be held on Thursday, November 29.
It will be hosted at St Columba’s South Church in Elgin at 11am.
Members and friends are all welcome to come and enjoy the event, with songs for all ages.
Local crafters to raise funds
A Christmas shopping evening will be held at Portessie Public Hall, on Chancellor Road, with local crafters and sellers set to appear.
The event will take place between 6 and 9pm on November 9 and raise funds for Portessie Playgroup.
Advice for workplace
An event will be held to discuss how to handle difficult conversations in the workplace.
The meeting, held by Third Sector Interface Moray, will take place on November 20 from 9.15am at the Inkwell in Elgin.
