‘Hypocrisy’ of SNP critics

The Press and Journal (Moray) - - AGENDA -

SIR, – Your letters page is once more simply bursting at the seams

each day with “divisive rhetoric” aimed at the SNP and their MPs.

However, they have the largest membership of any political party in the UK and recently overtook the Tories in member numbers. They are also the largest party elected to the Scottish Parliament.

The conclusion therefore is that the majority of Scots are of the opinion that the current Scottish Government headed by the SNP is a case of “better the devil you know” when viewed against the Westminster Tory and Labour cabal of incompetents who are taking a wrecking ball to the future prosperity of the UK.

The hypocrisy is astounding when there is not a thing written in your letters column by correspondents regarding the double standards applied by Westminster in their approach to the Russian government and that of Saudi Arabia, both implicated in murder. The Tories are making sure that we are still selling munitions to Saudi when sanctions are imposed on Russia. Taking this one instance, give me the Scottish Government any day.
