New tool ‘saves time, money’

The Press and Journal (North-East) - - BUSINESS -

Corrosion specialist Presserv is expecting a £1.5million boost in the first year of a new deal with US firm Sponge Jet.

Norwegian-owned Presserv said it was awarded exclusive Scotland and offshore UK distribution rights for an innovative abrasive blasting technology which saves operators time and money.

UK sales manager Stuart Rennie said: “Sponge Jet is an incredible tool that has revolutionised the way surfaces can be prepared for corrosion protection, and we are thrilled to be able to offer it to the Scottish and offshore UK energy industries.

“The Sponge Jet low dust and low rebound technology means that surface preparation can continue alongside other trades.

“In the oil and gas industry, time is money, so being able to continue work while blasting is taking place is a huge advantage for operators.”

Stavanger-headquartered Presserv has a branch office in Oslo and subsidiaries in Aberdeen and Brazil.
