Actress to return north for lead role
An actress will return home for some festive cheer when she features in a leading role in a Christmas play at the Lemon Tree.
Glasgow-based Christie Mitchell, who is originally from the north-east, will play one of two sisters in the show Flutter.
The interactive show is aimed at children aged between two and six.
Arran Howie, cocompany manager for producers Tortoise in a Nutshell, said: “We are really looking forward to working with Christie.
“She has a great energy and enthusiasm within her work and doesn’t shy away from challenges and our very different style of working.
“It was extremely important for us to work with individuals who have strong connections to Aberdeen and the local area and we can’t wait for the production to open in December.”
