Phillip Schofield has ruled out ever pre­sent­ing ITV’s This Morn­ing with­out Holly Wil­loughby. The duo have hosted the day­time pro­gramme to­gether since 2009.

Asked if he could em­u­late Declan Don­nelly who pre­sented Satur­day Night Take­away with­out Ant McPartlin, he said: “It wouldn’t feel right.” High-pro­file pris­oner Charles Bron­son is to stand trial ac­cused of as­sault­ing a man in prison.

The 65-year-old, who was born Michael Peter­son but is now called Charles Sal­vador af­ter chang­ing his name by deed poll, is ac­cused of car­ry­ing out the at­tack at HMP Wake­field on Jan­uary 25.

De­tails of the al­leged of­fence were heard at Leeds Mag­is­trates’ Court on Wed­nes­day, a court spokes­woman said. He is due to stand trial on July 18.
