Man, 47, to tackle gru­elling work­out for cause

A Turriff man will un­der­take a “bru­tal” gym work­out for char­ity on Satur­day.

Martin Milne, 47, is rais­ing money for Clan Can­cer sup­port for chil­dren by at­tempt­ing a full body work­out con­sist­ing of 150 sets.

The ex­er­cise will con­sist of 25 sets of chest, legs, back, bi­ceps, tri­ceps and shoul­der reps, with

“I’ve been train­ing for this for a while and I’ve achieved 100 sets in the past”

Mr Milne setting him­self a dead­line of two hours to fin­ish it.

He said: “I’ve been train­ing for this for a while and I’ve achieved 100 sets in the past, so my son Rhys dared me to do 150, which has never been done be­fore.

“So I thought why not do it for char­ity?

“It’s the ul­ti­mate chal­lenge and is re­ally bru­tal. My per­sonal trainer Stephen Gould said that it’s ab­so­lutely un­be­liev­able what I’m at­tempt­ing.”
