Chance to shape Buckie’s fu­ture

Buckie res­i­dents are be­ing en­cour­aged to have their say on their com­mu­nity’s fu­ture.

Moray Coun­cil’s com­mu­nity sup­port unit is hold­ing an event on No­vem­ber 17 from 1pm un­til 4pm at Buckie Royal British Le­gion where they will chat to lo­cals about the ex­pe­ri­ences and as­pi­ra­tions of the com­mu­nity and iden­tify pri­or­i­ties for chil­dren and young peo­ple.

Af­ter the dis­cus­sions a plan will be pro­duced which will out­line ar­eas for im­prove­ment with a fo­cus on at­tain­ment and em­ploy­a­bil­ity, as well as giv­ing lo­cals a greater voice in com­mu­nity af­fairs.

Free re­fresh­ments and a bouncy cas­tle to keep the kids en­ter­tained will be on of­fer.

The unit will also be at the Portessie Pub­lic Hall Christ­mas Fair, on Satur­day No­vem­ber 24 from 9.30am un­til noon.
