The Press and Journal (North-East) - - AGENDA -

SIR, – All bagpipe players have been asked to celebrate the centenary of the end of WWI by the College of Piping in Glasgow. See battlesoer@collegeofpiping.org or www.collegeofpiping.org

We are asked to play at 6am on Sunday morning when the cessation of firing was planned prior to the signing of the Armistice at 11am.

I intend to play the tune “The Battle’s O’er”, at Glenmoray Distillery, near Elgin, in memory of the “still boys” from Glenmoray and the other Speyside distilleries who answered the call and those who did not return home.
