Oxford can edge Argyle in battle of the strugglers

The Racing Paper - - Rugby League Football - by Marlon Kettle

GAME of the day in League One is not at the top of the table but at the more unfashionable end between Oxford and Plymouth.

These two occupy the bottom places in the division with only a win apiece and have conceded 43 goals between them in their 12 games.

United are in terrible form with Plymouth’s win last weekend moving them out of the bottom spot by a point and leaving Oxford rock bottom.

There should be goals in this game as neither side are defensively sound and

OXFORD might just edge this encounter, so with goals in the offing its worth a punt on the 23/10 on offer with Paddypower for over 3.5 goals.

Barnsley take on Luton at Oakwell with both sides in form and looking to push themselves forward into a promotion place. The Hatters are unbeaten in their last five after suffering a poor start and although that good form will boost their confidence the DRAW looks a likely outcome. The Tykes have come into a little form themselves with last week’s 4-0 thrashing of Peterborough and it’s worth considering the 11/4 on offer generally for the draw.

League One new boys Accrington Stanley have done fantastically well since their promotion and John Coleman’s,

left, side take on Bradford who are struggling near the bottom of the table.

Recent battles between the two have resulted in

STANLEY having the edge and that’s likely to be the case once again.

They are by no means free scoring but keep things tight defensively so a punt on Accrington to win by one goal is worth 29/10 offered by Marathonbet. League leaders

PORTSMOUTH take on Wimbledon and they are decent value at 71/50 for the win with Marathonbet.
