Meiningen-builtboilerwill enable the A1SLTto rotatethe three identicalboilersoverthe two locomotivest;wo operational boilersandone'sparea' reableto undergooverhaulat anyonetime.
Thefirst new boilerisexpected to be deliveredlaterthis yearand will befitted to No.60163during its next overhaulT. hesecond will follow in 2021,destinedfor No.2007.
DBMeiningenhascompleted the rollingandweldingof the boilerbarrelsectionsi,ncluding the thickenedsectionswhere the domesarelocated;the dome covershavebeenpressedand machinedt;he fireboxtube plateshavebeendrilled;the foundationringsectionshave beenforgedandthe foundation ringsweldedtogether;and a full setof superheateer lementshas beencompletedand is readyfor delivery.
