Having been beaten away to Leicester Lions last time around, scores by Shaun Strudwick, Alick Croft, Harrison Vare and James Preston ensured Chester were on the right end of a bonus-point win.

It took ten minutes for the hosts to break the deadlock, with prop Strudwick receiving an offload before stepping the full-back to cross for a fine individual score. After slotting over the conversion, fly-half Callum Bennett extended their lead with two penalties before Harrogate outside-half Samuel Fox got the visitors on the scoreboard from the tee on the stroke of half-time.
