NORTHAMPTON-bound Jamal Ford-Robinson was disappointed he could not sign off with a win for the Bristol fans.

He will move to Franklin’s Gardens next season as he continues his rise from his Cornish Pirates roots.

He said: “I’m not feeling one emotion, I’m feeling everything right now. I’m sad to be moving on from a club I’ve really enjoyed playing for and call home. But I’m excited for what’s coming in the future at Northampton.

“We really wanted that last win at home, it’s what we’ve been talking about all week, but we didn’t come out of the blocks quick enough.

“In the second-half we were a lot better and we finished on a positive. We have got a really tight-knit group with everything we’ve been through.

“Newcastle were coming over with plans to push into that Champions Cup, but results didn’t go their way and I might get a chance in Europe with Saints next season.”
