Cum­mins has just signed a new deal with the Mel­bourne Rebels, who have agreed to al­low him to take up a short deal with the Tigers.

The 25 year-old who has played for Aus­tralia at school­boy, U19 and U20 level is likely to spend three months at Welford Road.

Mean­while Eng­land and Bri­tish Li­ons tight­head Dan Cole is close to do­ing a deal to stay with the club be­yond the end of the sea­son.
