Bonus-point success as Park turn screw
Chester ............ 7 Sedgley P .... 31
Park are up to fourth in the table after a resounding bonus-point victory against Chester.
After an end-to-end start, centre Thomas Bedlow set the visitors on their way when he dived over the whitewash after 28 min- utes. Stephen Collins then confidently added the extras to give Park a sevenpoint lead.
Two tries at the end of the half, the first from Max Skofic after 38 minutes before scrum-half Callum McShane scored off a back of a driving maul just 60 seconds later, put the visiSEDGLEY tors in complete command.
Fly-half Collins was unable to convert the first but slotted the second to give Park a healthy 19-0 lead at the break.
The hosts started the second half rejuvenated, with winger Matthew Crow darting over for the hosts just three minutes
after the restart and fly-half Liam McGovern’s conversion reducing the deficit to 12 points.
However, somewhat against the run of play, Park then secured their try-scoring bonus point when winger Oliver Glasse exhibited his speed to round the Chester defence and cross the whitewash.
And Collins added the extras to re-establish the visitors’ healthy lead, which had grown to 7-26.
Hooker Daniel Maher then pushed his way over for the fifth and final try of the match to complete the scoring and secure the win for the visitors.
