New defibrillator
Reighton and Speeton Parish Council in partnership with the Yorkshire Ambulance Service have purchased an Automated External Defibrillator for use in an emergency by members of our community. The defibrillator is now operational and located at the entrance to Reighton Village Hall.
An awareness training session was held at the hall when Jane Scott, a community defibrillator trainer from the Yorkshire Ambulance Service, demonstrated how to use the device. Residents from the villages attended.
The parish council would like to thank the Yorkshire Ambulance Service for the part funding towards the cost of the device and for their help and assistance with the awareness session. Thanks also go to Cllr Ken Bradley for the work he did reviewing available schemes and for obtaining the device through the Yorkshire Ambulance Service charitable fund.
Bet and Pat served refreshments after the session and thanks are extended to them.
