Whist drive

A whist drive was held on the Saturday night in the village hall. The MC was Mr B Calvert and the raffle was organised by Mr B Goulding.

Whist winners: first Mr and Mrs Dickinson, Mrs J Beilby, Mrs C Stockhill; second Mrs B Richardson, Mrs A Dawson, Mr L Woodhead, Mr B Cowton; third Mr and Mrs T Wardle, Mr R Warman, Mrs J Smith.

Raffle winners: Mr A Richardson, Angela, Mrs J Beilby, Mr B Calvert, Mrs S Calvert, Mrs D Wardle, Mr B Cowton, Mrs S Wardle, Mr R Warman, Mr A Dawson, Mrs U Toyne, Mrs B Richardson, Mrs C Dickinson, Joanne, Sheila, Mrs P Thompson, Mr S Foote, Mr T Wardle, Mr M Toyne, Mr P Pither, Mrs I Calvert, Mr B Goulding.

Supper was served by Ida, Sylvia, Bessie Una and Shirley. Bill thanked everyone for comthe ing, and those who brought raffle prizes also the ladies in the kitchen for their supper.

The next whist drive will be held on Saturday April 22, 7.30pm.

There will be a quiz in the village hall on Friday April 7, 7.30pm.
